Cape TownThe property backs up to Table Mountain and has majestic views of both mountain and city. Robben Island quarry stone is the key material for both house and garden and this provides an integrated finish. The boundary wall has been set back from the road to provide a thick forest planting on the verge which cushions the house from the street.
The house is clothed in greenery, planting on the house at all levels was a cornerstone of the design. Key trees such as mulberries and olives were rescued before building and replanted in the new garden.
